Alaska Vintage Holiday Market
The Alaska Vintage Holiday Market is kicking off this week and running each weekend through November 30. This festive market showcases Alaska’s vintage collectors, but you’ll also find fantastic new pieces from the trendiest small businesses, up-cyclers, and designers, making it easy to find unique gifts or even home decor for your new home! This event is a wonderful way to support local vendors.

In addition to the shopping, there’s also an accompanying food truck festival to keep you well fed as you explore the wide array of offerings. Plus, you can meet Santa and pet a reindeer, ensuring something for everyone.

Tickets are $5 each, with 12 and under getting in free on Fridays and Saturdays, and entrance is free for everyone on Sundays. Located in the Raven Hall of the Alaska State Fairgrounds, the event runs Friday – Sunday, November 21-23, and Friday – Sunday, November 29-30. 

Colony Christmas in Downtown Palmer
For a picturesque small-town holiday celebration, don’t miss Colony Christmas in downtown Palmer. Held the second week of December, starting Friday, December 12, 2025, at 11 am and running through Sunday, December 14, 2025, finishing at 4 pm, this is a warm, welcoming way to join with family and friends to celebrate the holidays.

Colony Christmas offers events throughout the downtown area. You’ll find plenty of shopping opportunities with the many one-of-a-kind items available at the numerous craft fairs. Two of  the largest bazaars can be found at the Palmer Depot and the Mat-Su Borough Gym.

While you’re at the Mat-Su Borough Gym, make sure your kids get to meet with Santa and share all of their wishes with him. Plus – we are in Alaska – there’s the opportunity for kids of all ages to see and pet real-life reindeer at the Palmer Visitor Center.

Other activities include the gingerbread house contest, the cookie contest, the cornhole tournament, as well as charming hay rides around downtown.

Finally, don’t miss the annual Parade of Lights taking place on Saturday evening. Grab some hot chocolate and admire the parade as it winds its way down Alaska Street, and then be sure to stick around for one of Alaska’s top fireworks displays!
