In addition, mortgage rates are starting to drop significantly and they’re expected to continue to decrease through the rest of the year. In fact, as reported in Forbes, average 30-year fixed-rate mortgages have hit their lowest rate in the past 11 months recently. This makes it a good time to seriously consider purchasing a new home.

With new home construction, there’s also the likely potential of builder incentives that can cover a variety of money saving options from discount design packages to savings on closing costs. With fewer buyers at this time of year, builders may look to find ways to attract customers.
